VettID is built and maintained by Al Liebl, its founder and architect.
I've worked in systems management, identity, physical security, big data, and cloud security since 1997 — which I've just realized is nearly thirty years, a fact I'm choosing to take gracefully. Along the way that's included time as an industry analyst at Meta Group (I left when Gartner acquired it, so no Gartner badge to claim), and nearly three decades of watching the same pattern repeat: security tools built for experts, and ordinary people left to fend for themselves.
VettID is my answer to that pattern. It's a non-custodial identity and communications platform built on Zero-Knowledge Trust: you hold your own keys, and there is no inbound path to your vault — not for attackers, not for the platform, not for me.

I'll be straightforward about the current state, because straightforwardness is the whole point:
I believe technology is a gift from God — one that can genuinely make people's lives better when it's built with care, and one that harms people when it's built to extract from them. You don't have to share that belief to use VettID, and nothing about the platform asks you to. But it's why I build the way I do:
